Portfolio - General

Before any work begins, it is first important to carefully look at the condition of the object/s. After close examination, we decide on a protocol for the restoration of the item. During this process we think about the object's condition and damage, its needs, techniques and materials that are to be used, and of course, the wishes of our client. All materials used are stable, reversible and specially developed and tested for use in restoration.

Depending on the problem, we will clean the object, bond broken pieces, consolidate cracks, fill gaps and chips (missing areas), make new parts (such as fingers, flowers etc.), polish and retouch, make mounts (e.g. for tiles) or regild the object in order to bring it back to its original shape, form, stability and colour.

In the following Portfolio pages you will find photos of objects before and after restoration treatment.
